"Saving Ourselves: A Photographic Exhibit," presents a collection of photographs created by a community of children around the world linked by medicine and culture. This exhibit of pictures and self-portraits by children from Karachi, Florence, Melbourne, Humjibre, and Chicago challenges our perceptions of identity, sickness, and self-representation. Their images, especially the self-portraits, represent attempts by children to preserve, fix, and save themselves.
